Indian Institute of Stock Market is an educational institution set up in 2002, with its main office at New Delhi. The institute is established with an objective to impart education, training and consultancy in the field of finance and accountancy to the aspirants wishing to start at their own or looking for openings in the industry. With the expansion of global economic market a large number of people with requisite financial and accounting skills are being absorbed across organizations.

With the sensex crossing the level of 20000 a major portion of public has become interested in investing their funds in the stock market. However, due to limited knowledge of the financial market and financial instruments a majority of the new investors burnt their fingers in the stock market crash of February 2008. Keeping this cause in view a new course titled "Diploma in Stock Market and Investment Management" was started. Though there is nothing that can replace the experience of taking full time or in part classes of your peers. But, given your particular work life situation, it may not possible to do. Therefore, the next best thing is distance learning course.
IISM offers a diploma program in Stock Market Operations and Investment Management that will develop skills in management of stock market operations and investment management. This is a four months course dealing with all aspects of Stock Market operations and the various ways to manage investments e.g. actively and profitably. At the end of the program (i.e. after 4 months) written exams are conducted and evaluated. Those successfully completing the program will be awarded a Diploma.
