about the course
IISM offers a diploma program in Stock Market Operations and Investment Management that will skills in management of stock market operations and investment management. This is a four months course dealing with all aspects of Stock Market operations and the various ways to manage investments e.g. actively and profitably. At the end of the program (i.e.., after 4 months) written exams are conducted and evaluated. Those successfully completing the program will be awarded a Diploma.
Qualification :
Any student who has passed 10+2 / equivalent can do this course.
Approach
The students are exposed to a thorough study of the various types of financial markets and instruments, optimizing earnings and hedging the financial risk. Initially the student is introduced to the basics of financial systems and other related concepts. Subsequent study plan shall be as follows:
- Study of Indian Financial System and procedure related to new issue of securities and their subsequent trading.
- Fundamental and Technical Analysis of Securities
- Risk and Return relationship
- Derivatives Instruments, market and their valuation
- Mutual Funds
- Corporate Actions
- Finally, the reading of financial dailies.
